Congratulations to the School Town of Speedway for voting YES to the referendum.  We look forward to providing the highest quality of education to the children of our community.  

Newby Elementary School is one of four Speedway elementary schools. We are located at 1849 N. Whitcomb Ave. and serve a student population of just over 200 children. At Newby we understand that children learn best when they are happy and when they feel safe. We work daily to promote an environment that is both. Our school has earned the State of Indiana Four Star Status sixteen times in the last twenty years. While our main focus is on academics, we strive to help our children become organized, self-sufficient, life-long learners. Finally, while we promote unconditional concern for every student, we believe that a healthy self-esteem is earned by doing our very best.
